A huge home run!!! Pancake Breakfast raised $1,500 – a big woot woot for Sarah for organizing, Caleb for cooking and all of the friends and family for the help! And thank you to the wonderful folks who came and ate and supported RFA!! Our children have new textbooks for the fall semester and we will start adding to our building fund to get our matching grant!!!
Kathy Brandon is an Art Instructor at Jack Jackter Intermediate School in Colchester, CT. After the Haiti earthquake, she felt great compassion for the victims, especially the children. Her students also expressed their concern for Haitian children, and wanted to help.
Update from Haiti: The children finished with their final exams and are waiting for their final report grade. They children are all doing great in school!
Saturday, June 25th was the first annual Haiti Fundraiser Tag Sale. The event raised over $700 – a substantial amount for our small organization in Chantal.
Jack Jackter Intermediate School student’s are using their hearts, their hands and their large creativity to help children in Haiti by selling pendants.
Today the children woke up at 7:00 a.m., took a shower, had breakfast and went to school from 8:00 until 12:30 p.m. After school they came home to have lunch at 1:00 and then took a siesta until 3:00. Once they awoke the children studied their lessons until 6:00. They had fun for an hour…
A Global Issues class at Eastern Connecticut State University will be holding a fundraiser at Chili’s Grill and Bar Restaurant on Wednesday, May 25th 2011.
I cannot easily express in words how truly grateful I am for the opportunity to share this mission trip to Haiti experience with so many wonderful people.
