Dearest friends, sponsors and supporters –
This latest disaster in the southwestern area of Haiti has us reeling. We are grateful that no lives were lost. That is first and foremost in our minds as we grieve with our Haitian friends.
There are some very real ways that help can be brought to RFA:
1) Chantal.
We lost most of the roof in our new home in Chantal. The home was just completed recently and the remaining roof is in the center area where the common room and the parents bedroom is. The two dorm rooms have no cover and much of the provisions were ruined for the month. The school is gone that we just provided materials for. The outside kitchen house is also gone.
2) Ducis.
The school/church that served the community of Ducis and had close to 100 children attending is gone. We had recently provided a cement floor, finishing for the inside, new steel doors, steps and a basketball court. The outside kitchen house is also gone.

Thanks so much in advance – we will purchase materials in Haiti and use local folks to rebuild in order support our communities. No amount is too small and every single penny is appreciated. Our staff, children and leaders in Haiti thank you from the depth of their souls.
With much thankfulness – Ellen
Whenever a hurricane comes, it’s indeed the worst thing that can ever happen to you. The only thing that matters at times like this is the help you’ll be getting from other people. This gives hope to those victims that they can always start a new life after that devastating event.
You are never alone when you became a victim of a hurricane. There are people whom you can always ask for help, might it be for financial, moral and other kinds of support. You just have to know that there are people who are willing to help and support you.
